Welcome!This Biotechnology Education website has been designed for educators and technical support staff- whether they are new to the area of biotechnology education, or experienced and looking for new ideas to expand an existing program. Through this website there is access to extensive resources, both in the form of background notes and practical activities. The website supports and extends the resource Experimental Biotechnology, Experiential Learning- which was a product of the Innovative Biotechnology Learning and Teaching in Secondary Schools ASISTM Project. Our hope is that the content of this website will inspire educators to engage with biotechnology theory and practical activities, and then use this experience to progress their students to the next level - student experimental investigation. Due to the nature of biotechnology as a scientific endeavour and the rapidly emerging area of biotechnology education, this website will be constantly updated so we would advise that you bookmark this site and visit it regularly!
